MZ Pollak is a Los Angeles–based voiceover actor celebrated for her versatility, warmth, and ability to bring characters vividly to life. A 2023 SOVA Award nominee, she works across Audio Description, Animation, Video Games, Dubbing, Commercials, and Audiobooks, with a special talent for creating memorable, high-energy characters that spark joy for listeners of all ages.
A former Los Angeles/New York model and Miss Tarzana 1991, MZ discovered early on that acting was her true calling. After joining SAG-AFTRA in 2002, she built a multifaceted career in theater, film, and television before finding her creative home in voiceover. Her recent work in Audio Description—including both narration and scriptwriting—underscores her versatility and depth as a voice artist.
Her love for VO started long before the booth. When her boys were little, bedtime stories were full-scale productions: characters, accents, sound effects—dinner theater in pajamas. Hearing their laughter hooked her. “If I hear someone laugh,” she says, “I know I did my job.” That joy still drives everything she records.
As an audiobook narrator, MZ’s lifelong love of reading shines. She delights especially in children’s books, imagining a classroom of captivated kids as she lifts stories off the page in a world where reading physical books is becoming rare. She records from her professionally built home studio, giving producers and authors broadcast-quality sound with the convenience of fast turnaround.
Beyond the booth, MZ is a writer and storyteller at heart. Under RomanceByMish.com, she writes historical romance, and she has written Audio Description scripts for Lioness: Special Ops and Yellowstone (CBS). She is currently collaborating with the Toontown Collective on a new animated series.
MZ is also a proud wife and mom. Married to her husband Mark for nearly 35 years, she comes from a family tradition of long, loving marriages—something she treasures deeply.
